PLAY SOCCER CARAVAN
SNO is please to announce that the Rogers Play Soccer On The Road is coming to Northwestern Ontario for the first time! Play Soccer On The Road is a fun and interactive event for all ages where you can test your soccer skills in a variety of different settings (ie. shooting, dribbling, 3 on 3) surrounded by safe, inflatable surroundings. This is a FREE event for one day only, and it is being held on the CLE Grounds on Tuesday, June 16th from 12 noon to 6pm. Bring the whole family!

New Office Hours
Effective Monday, May 11 Soccer Northwest Ontario will begin operation with new office hours. These hours are:
Mondays: 12 pm to 7 pm Wednesdays: 5 pm to 10 pm Fridays: 12 pm to 4 pm Saturdays: 9 am to 1 pm
James St., John Jumbo, and Casino Grounds Fields Open
James St. North and South, John Jumbo Upper and Lower, and Casino Park fields have officially opened for use for practices effective immediately. PLEASE NOTE: PRACTICE FIELDS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE TO THOSE TEAMS THAT HAVE SCHEDULED PRACTICE TIME SLOTS THROUGH THE SNO OFFICE! If there are two or more teams in conflict at a field, the team that has been authorized by SNO will be the only team allowed to use the field.
Lakehead Express S.C. Receives Bronze Status
The Lakehead Express S.C. was awarded a Bronze status in the OSA's Club Excellence Program at their Annual General Meeting in Ottawa last month. The Express are the first Club from the SNO District to receive an award from the OSA for Club Excellence and Soccer Northwest would like to congratulate all Lakehead Express volunteers who helped to achieve this award!
The Club Excellence Program is a pilot project through the OSA, funded by Trillium, which helps to identify outstanding achivements for local Clubs. If you would like more information on the Club Excellence Program, please contact our office at snosoccer@tbaytel.net.
Schwan's USA CUP Weekend and Schwan's USA CUP are currently seeking quality officials for this year's tournaments. The USA CUP Weekend is currently accepting referees age 14 and older while USA CUP is currently accepting referees age 16 and older. These tournaments feature complimentary tournament apparel, tournament souvenirs, free airport transfers, subsidized housing options, national assessors, onsite transportation, and a referee appreciation banquet. If you are currently a certified Referee and you would like to apply, please visit their website at www.usacup.org/referee.
